About the Artist

Karma Sherab Gyaltso (Kenny Ng), was born in 1982 came from South-East part of Malaysia, better known as the state of Sarawak (Borneo), in a city named, Kuching. He was born in a traditional yet humble family background and is the eldest son among his other three siblings. Since young, Karma always had the desire to draw at a very young age. His drawings depict the god and goddess deities, Buddha and Bodhisattva picture etc. of Buddhism on drawing papers. As time passes, the seed of Buddha grew in Karma and his relationship with Buddha became  much closer.

In 1997, under the guidance of The 14th Shamarpa Rinpoche, he (Karma) has taken refuge in Buddhism as a Buddhist follower. Since May 2000, Karma has finally offered body, speech and mind and involved himself into doing Buddhist work with the blessings of the Triple Gem and soon after, he became the founder of "Namkhyen Gyaldar Buddhist Art and Cultural Centre"

Karma, using gold and silver pens, crayons, colour pencils, water colours and other stationary tools has drawn Tibetan thangka, Chinese and Tibetan calligraphy, Mahayana Buddhist art, Thailand and Japanese Buddhist art and other Buddhism art around the world.


In 2005, he went on a journey to learn about the Buddha Dharma, searching all over the different Buddhism Culture and Art of Life to places like (Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johore, Sabah) states in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, (Si Chuan and Tibet) China. Later, in year 2008, he came back to his home in Kuching with a deeper passion in the Buddhism belief and began his journey by using his Buddhist culture hand-drawn art hoping to spread the teachings of Buddha Dharma with hopes that the Buddha Dharma will last and grow with compassion and wisdom to benefit all sentient beings.
